San Francisco-based designers Tim Carpenter and Hongsun Yoon founded Hooray Sock Co. in 2017, after receiving their MFAs at California College of the Arts and tying the knot. What started as a side hustle designing socks in a tiny San Francisco apartment and selling them at Bay Area craft markets has grown into a nationwide business. Hooray socks are now sold at hundreds of independent boutiques, gift shops, and museum stores across the United States and Canada — and shipped straight to your door, too.

We are proudly independent — we believe in and support small businesses and artists. We have no investors, and you won't find us on Amazon. What matters most to us is design, quality, and making sure every customer has a great experience with us.

Our socks are made in small batches with a manufacturing partner in South Korea. Our premium line is hand-picked from a small family-run sock factory in Nara, Japan, making fluffy, low-gauge socks since 1927.
