Providing socks to a vulnerable population
The idea is simple — for each pair of socks we sell, we will donate a pair to someone currently experiencing homelessness.
For those individuals experiencing homelessness, socks are a much-needed, often hard to come by necessity. It is reported that socks are the number 1 most requested item in shelters. San Francisco, our hometown, has an estimated 7,499 people living on the streets — each and every day (and night).
Hooray Sock Co. is proud to support Episcopal Community Services to provide new, well-made Hooray Socks for those seeking assistance and shelter.
How it works
For each pair of Hooray Socks sold (online or in-store), we will donate a pair to Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco (ECS) whose mission it is to help homeless and very low-income people every day and every night obtain the housing, jobs, shelter, and essential services each person needs to prevent and end homelessness. ECS is San Francisco’s largest, most comprehensive provider of services and supportive housing. To learn more about ECS, volunteer or make a donation, visit http://www.ecs-sf.org/index.html.
Thank you for your support!
