Hooray Sock Co. co-founders: Tim Carpenter and Hongsun Yoon
Hooray Sock Co. was founded on a couple of simple ideas — that we should spend more time making people happy than unhappy, that inspiration surrounds us if we're open to seeing it, and that life is short, so let's go for it!
Our founding partners, Tim Carpenter and Hongsun Yoon met while attending California College of the Arts in San Francisco. After receiving their MFA's in design, getting married, and returning to professional life — they hatched a plan to bring a little positivity and happiness to people with their creative socks.
Launched in 2017, Hooray Socks are bold, graphic statements of enthusiasm and style. Inspired by design, art, travel, and positivity, our socks are designed in San Francisco and shipped around the world. We work with our South Korean manufacturing partner to produce comfortable, well-made socks we hope you'll enjoy slipping into every day!
